I changed Campbell's diaper today(obviously). It used to be a lot easier. I was in complete control. Not anymore. This video is a pretty close comparison to changing C's diaper at 10 months old. Okay, I'm exaggerating...kind of.

Memories
This is a tag yo. I haven't done one of these in a while. My friend Kendra had this on her blog so I'm stealin' it.
The Rules:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.
Sidenote - Attention Mom...you are required to leave a comment. Just in case no one else does I don't want to feel like a loser.

I'm pretty amazing
Today I carried more weight than I ever thought was humanly possible. I put the straps of my diaper bag under each armpit and converted it to a backpack. I carried a jello salad with my right hand and I carried Campbell in her carseat with my left hand. Picture me in 3 inch heels walking up a steep driveway and then walking up a flight of stairs. When I got to the top I was huffing and puffing but I said under my breath..."I'm pretty amazing." Looking back at my acheivment it really was a dumb thing to do. I could have hurt myself or worse, my little Campbell. Now my back is killing me. I feel more stupid than amazing.
P.S. I'm still kind of proud I carried so much stuff.

There's a first time for everything
I don't have a lot to blog about these days. The laptop is on the fritz so I take my turn on the desktop. I don't know how to load pictures on this monster computer. I'm sure it's not hard but I am a slow learner. I thought I would jot down a few dittys while they are fresh on the mind. Here goes...
1st trip to the E.R. - Another overreaction from 1st time parents.
1st word - Campbell says AH OH when something drops to the ground. Now she is making a fun game out of it. She has blabbed mama and dada but she doesn't associate them with us. I am counting AH OH as the first.
1st tooth - I thought it would never get here. She started showing the signs of teething at 5 months. Finally 4 months later a tooth is born. Why do I even care???
1st drink from a cup - I gave Campbell a cup of water at the family reunion. She liked it. It was a team effort. She opened her mouth and I poured it in. She kept opening her mouth for more. This probably isn't a big deal to anyone else. Campbell refused a binky and a bottle so for me this is huge.

My 9 month lean machine
Campbell turned 9 months on Wednesday. So...she's basically been out of my belly as long as she was in my belly. Give or take. I took her to the doctor today for her check-up. Same story different day. I used to leave so sad about her weight but you know it is what it is. She weighs 14lbs 7oz(1%)Noggin 16.9(22%) Length 27.83in(60%).
Here's a list of Campbell's favorite things in no particular order

-clapping
-scooting
-indian chant(hand over mouth eye ya ya ya eye ya ya ya)
-giggling/babbling
-cell phones
-yogurt
-cords
-paper
-wipes
-hitting herself in the head(I'm not too concerned just yet)
-waving
-the remote control
-screaming(horror movie style)
-splashing in the bathtub
And that's a wrap...

Who Loves This Guy?

I DO! Happy Birthday Dad! You are the coolest!
Here are just a few facts & figures about my Pops in no particular order
-I'm pretty sure he can fix almost anything.
-He likes to dance(maybe I'm lying)
-He is one of the funniest guys I know(he can really zap ya with one-liners)
-Even if he didn't tell me he loves me, I would know that he does.
-He gets me.
-He owns a lot of flashlights.
-He heats up his icecream in the microwave so it's soft.
-All of his occupations start with "F"(father, fireman, farmer, fmechanic)
-He is so cute with my little Campbell
Here is an example of one of the funny conversations I've had with my Dad
ME: Dad, how was church?
DAD: Oh you know, all the main players were there.(Then he proceeded to name all the sweet old ladies that you can count on every week.)
Maybe you had to be there or maybe you have to know my dad but my guts hurt from laughing.
I love you Dad!! Happy Birthday Big Guy!
P.S. My cute grandma LouJean took this picture of my Dad when he was plowing snow. Does he know how to stay warm, or what?
